Internet Of Things

The Internet of Things is a new technology that enables the interaction between intelligent objects on the Net, allowing the mutual exchange of data. The intelligence distributed in the objects allows, through the generation of a large amount of data, to produce new knowledge.

Social Thingum has been developing projects for years in this area involving and connecting people, thus defining the "Social & Smart " approach. This enables the creation of an ecosystem where information exchanged and the knowledge created are enhanced by the multiple interactions not only among the objects themselves but also among the communities of practice and interest that are created among users.

We applied these skills to a project for a company producing electric motorcycles: we created the intelligent module on board the vehicle that checks performances and generates an alert in case of danger. Other projects include Sands and Elliot, promoted and funded by the European Union.
