The Web Summit 2018 ended on 8 November in Lisbon, the city that will host the largest European stage of innovation and startup issues for the next 10 years. Social Thingum was present at this great event, where it was able to confront the advances in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, Social Networks and e-learning also having a stand to illustrate their projects.
We have become increasingly aware that doing innovation means putting people at the heart of the project, understanding their needs and respecting their personal sphere. New” technologies such as artificial intelligence (IA) and robotics have very important transformative capacities in almost every sector: from industries to the daily lives of billions of people, but they are held back by the lack of specific skills in these technologies. Their pervasiveness raises questions, and the need to establish and respect ethical practices for the respect of the rights of all.
